A not so typical snowfall in El Paso
The Borderlands went into hibernation this past week as frostbiting winds and snow caused temperatures to dip to single digits. Growing up in Wisconsin, I can say it was as frigid as a January day in Wisconsin! Brrrrrr….!! Due to power outages and busted water pipes, El Paso and Las Cruces closed public facilities, basically shutting down our Borderland cities for days.
The situation is extremely frightening to the homeless and poverty stricken. The only good news out of this is that frigid temperatures has curb the violence in Juarez.
