*I found this writing in my files from a few years back. I caught that darn 2 week cold again! So thought thought this might be worth reprinting… Personally, this time around, I believe this cold has to do with a sensitivity to the dramatic earth changes taking place. It is time for our true authentic selves to come forth with courage and compassion, and to live and speak from our heart centers
Feeling like crap for two weeks with a bad cold, sore throat, and bronchial congestion, [crap referring to feeling blocked up and stuffy, exhausted, and in pain]
I had to ask myself the question, “What have I been thinking and saying to cause this cold?” Sure enough, the previous week I’d been saying, “I am so sick of . . . blah, blah, blah.” I AM SO SICK??? Okay Connie, bring on the sick stuff! After all, I asked for it!
On an energetic level, from ones mental and emotional fields, a cold comes from feeling overwhelmed and too busy or disorganized with all the little stuff. That’s just what I was feeling.
And according to Reflexology, looking at a foot reflexology diagram, I can see that the whole area where I recently had toe surgery (replacement of big right toe knuckle) is the area that affects the bronchial tubes, throat, and sinuses. Fascinating!
On a positive note, being laid up with a cold really kept me off that foot, allowing it to heal! That was the good part of having this cold, along with having time to read, reflect on life, and meditate. Oh, and accidentally lose weight in the process.
I vow from this point forward . . .
To think positive, healing thoughts.
To use words that bring into my world what I truly want.
To feel inspired and open to life’s possibilities.
From this point forward, I will substitute the following words:
I feel so . . .
Inspired
Grateful
Thankful
Creative
Imaginative
Curious
Inquisitive
Ingenious
Wise
Decisive
Knowledgeable
Perceptive
Prosperous
Wealthy
Successful
Delighted
Happy
Satisfied
